Dralion was excellent. Afterwards we went to Benihana and had really bizarre service... good, but the place was empty so we got a lot of attention. "Oh, you're in the circus?" No. "So you must be a band." No. ad nauseam The food rocked as usual though--I don't care if they're a big huge international chain, the grub is just plain tasty. Steve met us for lunch at Fellini's for lunch... then took us to Little Five Points for Criminal Records and coffee. I'd volunteered to drive, so on the way home I found myself behind the wheel of Brian's new Jetta (nice ride), and then somewhere on NC 49 in Stanly county in front of blue lights. Fucking annoying, my goal had been to get out of this state without another ticket. Since I admit that I'm not going to quit pressing my luck any time soon, I should just break down and buy the damned radar detector I've wanted for two years... it would have saved my ass [and a grip of cash] last night. Watched a Wild Discovery feature when we got home about chimpanzees that had some excellent camera work and only a few technical issues. My sister is supposed to be coming up this afternoon to hang out and crash, since she has a seminar here first thing in the morning, but I haven't heard from her yet. And the sun's finally out, although it's cold, so I'm gonna try to get out and skate some if the wind's not blowing like crazy.
